SDS Vision aggregation service
The SDS Vision Aggregation Service consists of a dedicated server that acts as an interconnection hub between multiple distributed SDS Vision Pro systems, designed to:
aggregate events, alarms, logs and (where applicable) multimedia metadata;
manage a centralized and shared database (single source of truth);
provide a single console for configuration management, users, permissions, reporting, and auditing;
ensure operational continuity and scalability as the number of sites, cameras, and devices increases.
Logical Architecture (Layered)
1) Site level (Edge / Local Site)
Each site maintains its own SDS Vision Pro system (acquisition, analysis, and local storage where required).
A Site Connector / Agent (or dedicated SDS module) sends the following data to the Aggregation Server:
normalized events and alarms,
device status and health monitoring data,
archiving of passages and license plate data.
2) Aggregation Level (Core)
Event messaging layer for reliable control and data transmission, Application services for event correlation, Centralized database containing configurations, users, permissions, historical events, and audit data.
Event messaging layer for reliable control and data transmission.
Application services for event correlation.
Centralized database containing configurations, users, permissions, historical events, and audit data.
3) Presentation Level (Central Console)
Single multi-site dashboard for alarms, searches, and timeline visualization.
Operational workflows including event handling, escalation procedures, notes, and closure management.
Interconnection Methods
Site-to-site VPN or TLS mutual authentication over dedicated communication channels.
Network segmentation (VLAN / VRF).
Latency and link disruption management: individual sites continue operating even if the connection becomes degraded.
Shared Database
users, roles, and policies (RBAC);
common configurations (naming conventions, event taxonomies, report templates);
historical events and alarms with cross-site correlation;
audit logs and compliance data.
